Are you sure you have correctly integrated your Shopify Store with the Meta platform (Facebook, Instagram)?
Advertising your Shopify catalog: If you’re looking to sell products on Facebook or create Facebook ad campaigns for your Shopify store, you’ll need to set up Facebook and Instagram by Meta. This allows you to create a product catalog that can be used for Facebook Marketing, Instagram Shopping, and Facebook shop.
Before you can use Facebook and Instagram by Meta, you’ll need to make sure you have a Facebook Business Manager that’s connected to your business’s Facebook Page and an ad account with an admin role for the Business Manager. If you don’t have a Business Manager, you can set one up when you’re setting up Facebook and Instagram by Meta.
Your Facebook account must have an admin role on the Page and the Facebook page needs to be published. You can be an admin on multiple Facebook pages, but each page can only be owned by a single Facebook Business Manager.
To be eligible for Facebook and Instagram by Meta, you need to have a Shopify online store that isn’t password protected. If your store isn’t eligible, the channel will appear as Unavailable in your Shopify admin.
To install and set up Facebook and Instagram by Meta, follow these steps:
1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.
2. From the Apps and sales channels page, click Shopify App Store.
3. Search for Facebook and click Add channel or Add app.
4. Click Start set up on the feature that you want to install first.
5. Sign in to your Facebook account and connect the required Facebook assets.
6. Accept the terms and conditions and click Finish setup.
If you have staff members who need access to Facebook and Instagram by Meta, they’ll need to connect to their own Facebook account with admin permission on the Business Manager and Facebook page associated with the Shopify store.
When you set up Facebook and Instagram by Meta, you give Shopify permission to access a Facebook Page for your business, as well as a Facebook ad account and Business Manager. This allows you to post, comment, and message as the page without customers seeing personal information.
Advertising your Shopify catalog: Configuring the Meta Pixel
Facebook advertising can be overwhelming, especially with all its features. One such feature is the Meta pixel, which can be confusing for many people. However, it is a powerful tool that can help you track visitors to your website and show them ads later. In simple terms, it’s like following people who visit your store and reminding them of the products they saw.
The Meta pixel is a piece of code that tracks different actions on your website, such as page views, adding items to the cart, and purchasing. By monitoring these actions, you can optimize your ads and ensure that they reach the right audience. You can also use the Meta pixel to retarget people who have visited specific pages or taken certain actions on your website.
The Meta pixel has undergone some changes due to the iOS 15 update, which has made data collection a bit trickier. However, it still provides valuable insights that can help improve your ad performance.
To set up the Meta pixel, you need to add a tracking code to your website. Once installed, it will start collecting data about your website visitors, such as where they are coming from and what device they are using. You can use this data to create custom audiences and tailor your ads to specific people.
Overall, the Meta pixel can help you better understand the impact of your ads and reach people who are more likely to take action, such as making a purchase. By following a few simple steps, you can set up the Meta pixel and start using it to improve your ad performance.
